Long time no blog

So, it’s been quite some time since I posted something on here. It has not been a planned break, but nothing special has happened either. Everything is going well with me, and I hope the same is true for all of you (if there are still anyone there). I am slowly getting back in to catching up on the wonderful posts that I missed when I was away, and I look forward to doing some more catching up in the days to come. Now it felt like a good time to get back to posting, as I miss the interaction with the good people of WP.

Lovely to be out eating, drinking and meeting people

I feel like I am the only one that have not had Covid yet, so I have a feeling that is still a head of me. But now I am not too worried, I just hope I don’t get too sick. Work is busy but good, and even more busy because everyone seems to be taking turns getting sick. The weather has been rainier and snowier than last year, and this is not the best time to be one of Russia’s neighboring countries. I really feel for the people of Ukraine and the whole situation has me feeling very helpless.

New furniture in the basement livingroom

Last weekend was a good one, I had some friends visiting from different parts of the country and we had a wonderful time hanging out and just spending quality time together. We had not gotten together, all of us, since the start of the Pandemic so it was high time to gather to talk and hang out. One of the things we got up to was going to the movies. I had not been to the movies in some time, and it was nice to be back, but we watched “Murder on the Nile” and I cannot recommend the movie to anyone. I just found it ehm… Not very good. But most things can be made better and more fun with good people present.

What have you been up too lately? Are you doing well?

  1. Welcome back! You were missed to be sure. It is good to know there was no extraordinary reason except ordinary life!! I posted a lot while you were away. Traveled south-north then north-south Mexico, just less than 3,000 miles. Lots of photos. God bless.

  2. Maja, it’s lovely you’re back and all is well with you. Yeah! It must have been great to catch up with your friends in person … we will never take such encounters for granted again. I also haven’t had Covid … yet! Working hard and looking forward to my first trip away, back to Sweden, this month! Can’t wait is an understatement! Take care and have a lovely March!

      1. Tack, Maja … we have just booked our flight tickets and can’t wait to enjoy the beauty of Sverige once more! Wishing you a magical March too. x

  3. Nice to hear you have been ding alright. That dish (nachos?) looks really good. Always nice to spend time with friends you haven’t seen for a while. I haven’t been up to much except for work and relaxing on the weekends 🙂

  4. Welcome back Maja. All is well here, except for politics and Putin. Ukraine is paying a heavy price for standing up to the DICKtator, but they have no other choice. Stay well. Allan

  5. I’m glad that you are OK, Maja, nice to see you back. All is well here in the desert, it’s beginning to warm up more now. Be safe!

  6. Welcome back – and thanks for sharing that incredible food with us! If you are fully vaccinated, the great news is that any virus will have a minimal effect on you, and hopefully, you will dodge the bullet as I have been able to so far as well here in Los Angeles…always great to se your posts and explore your part of the world – stay safe!

  7. Maya, nice to see you back. And all has been well with you. I’m at the final stages of self-publishing a book. The MS is being proofread now. Book launch in April. Have 2 new Border Aussie puppies and involved in the training process. Our former older dogs passed on around Thanksgiving. Sad to think about them, but we love the puppies, which helps. Hopefully, you will stay safe from Covid and your proximity to the battle in Ukraine. 🙏💘

  8. Ah well I understand having to duck out for awhile. With my husband’s illness we have to go back and forth to the US for his treatments and I don’t blog much around those times. I’m glad to know you are well. Either of us has had Covid either and most of my family have not. Those nachos look major! Yummy. I love the retro look of your basement tables. I depend heavily on my son who is in the film industry to advise me on what is worth spending my $$ to see, but you are right. Spending fun times with friends makes it worthwhile. Stay well!
