Royal Marine Hotel
We are lucky enough to stay at a lovely hotel just outside Dublin called the Royal Marine Hotel.
View from the hotel room
The hotel is wonderful, we have a lovely view an a cosy little balcony.
The hotel also has an amazing spa that I got to enjoy by having what they called a “tangle me up body wrap”. It was a lovely stress relieving experience.
Hotel swimmingpool and spa
I am enjoying my stay a lot.
Today I went for a stroll around Dublin and enjoyed some sunshine and lovely weather.
Walking past the statue of Molly Malone made me think of my old school days when we used to sing about her.
Bank of Ireland
There was many people out and quite a few tourist that was probably there for the 1916 centennial.
Outside the General Post Office the queues was so long I decided not to bother with them.
The Temple Bar
I wandered around Temple Bar, but decided to enjoy my beer somewhere else.
I am really enjoying easter here in Ireland. So far we have spent our time being invited out to good friends for good food, drinks and lovely company.
The weather haven’t been the best. We’ve had rain, wind and a few showers of hail stones. But the sun has come through on occations.
Easter decorated Pub window
This easter is quite special in Ireland as they are marking the centennial of the Easter Rising that led to irish independence
Guinness are testing old recipes
St. Patrick's day sweets
I made it to Ireland. Even if my flight from Stavanger was late and only sheer luck and nice air hosteses helped me catch my connecting flight in London. My bag wasn’t as lucky as me and did not make the flight. We stayed at a lovely hotel in Dublin Airport that we usually use when the flight arrives late at night or leave early in the morning. It’s now called Clayton Hotel, but it used to be called Bewleys so we sometimes mix up the names.
Good morning Ireland
The next day was used to meet up with people in Dublin and as we where turning our noses west I got a call from the airline saying that my bag was now in Tuam, five hours before the prearranged time. The driver didn’t concider this a problem because he knew the guy working in the local Subway shop and he could leave it there. So when I got to Tuam my bag was there waiting for me!
It’s finally time for me to hop on a plane and go back to beautiful Ireland. I’m very much looking forward to spending easter over on the emerald island. I was there last easter at well and it was lovely. Hoping for more like the below:
Easter in Ireland Part 1
Easter in Ireland Part 2: Tuam and Oranmore
Easter in Ireland Part 3: Galway
Easter in Ireland Part 4: Castle Hacket and Lough Corrib
A very happy easter to all!
I started the first weekend of easter with a trip to our cabin. The weather was less stunning then the rest of the week, but still ok.
Decorated for easter
We got to enjoy easter candy, light candles and keep warm in front of the fire place.
Out on a walk
I got to go on a few very lovely walks and relax.
Spring has decided to visit
Spring has decided to visit this part of Norway and there where lovely flowers showing up.

Happy St. Patrick’s day to everyone. I would have loved to be in Ireland today, but I didn’t have the opportunity.
I will however get to go over quite soon and that I am very thankful for!
