The Christmas season is soon upon us. This Sunday it’s the first Sunday of Advent and for me that is when Christmas kicks off. I have bought a couple of presents that I’m going to send in the post and I’ve recieved a Christmas calendar from my Mum. But I’m waiting with most stuff till after Sunday to try my best to contain Christmas to a limited period.
Christmas is for me a busy, but wonderful time of year. Filled with wonders and kindness, family and friends.
I wish to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends and hope the week is good to everyone.
The weather here has turned cold the last week. And even if every season has it’s charm I still found myself missing the heat and sunshine.
I was looking through my photos from this summer ‘ s trip to the lovely Tuscany. And decided to share some photos from the lovely city of Florence.
We stopped off in Florence on our way home and didn’t have much time there. But we decided to get the hop on hop off buss a couple of times around to see some of the town.
It was a great experience and Florence is on the list of places I’d like to go again.
It sure is a city with a lot of history both with regards to art and science.
On a different note I’m enjoying my weekend very much. There seem to be plenty of time both for socialising and relaxing.
Hope the weekend is treating you very well.
My way home from work only takes a few minutes, but there are many things to see. I’d like to share some of them with you. Just to show what a lovely street I live and work on. This beautiful church is just outside the office.
May the force be with you!
Outside the youth club you can find this wonerfully geeky street art.
This lovely little piece of art is at a building that holds an art hall that is painted in many bright colours like those in the photo.
Street art just outside my window
Last but not least there is this cool piece of art just outside my house, that I’ve shared with you before.
These last few week has been very busy for me. First there was a lot of rehersals and concerts with my band leading up to a competition last Saturday. We were very happy with our performance and so was the adjudicators who awarded us with a great third place!
Nice photo from Stavanger
After the competition there was no rest, because we entered a very busy week at work and I had to spend most of my time there. And this weekend has mostly gone to help my brother build a new kitchen.
This has been very busy, but at the same time I’m enjoying myself. So I’ve been busy, but happy. I have had some time this weekend to catch up on some of your lovely posts and in my busy time I’ve missed you all. But I should have more time to hang out with you guys now!
Hope you’re all doing great and that the weekend is treating you well.
My thoughts go to the people of Paris and all those affected by the terrible events!
Right now I’m quite lost for words. I feel scared, angry and sad. What has the world come to?
Everything is starting to get ready for the competition this weekend. I’m very much looking forward to the whole event. It’s one of two yearly events where I get to meet up with friends and acquaintances from all over the country. Work is busy, but I enjoy it a lot.
Old gate in the woods
Being this busy I don’t have the time to read as many blog posts as I usually do, but as I said in my previous post I don’t like to miss out on things. The WP reader only shows you a limited amount of posts and when you’re not visiting all the time you can’t keep up! So if there is anything you’ve written that you think I should see or you come across something I should read when I get the time.
