It’s now darker in the mornings, it gets darker earlier in the afternoon and it’s more likely to rain and or blow a stronger wind. Yes people, if you have not noticed it’s autumn.
Autum may be here, but there is still some leftovers from summer
It has been a busy week and having looked at my calendar October looks to be a very busy month. This is not new, there is usually a lot of things happening in October, but this year looks to be even more busy than usual. Most of the stuff I’ll be busy with are going to be a lot of fun and I’ll probably enjoy myself a lot. But I have a feeling I’ll need some time to relax at the end of the month.
Amongst the things I’m looking forward to the most is a trip over to Ireland again. I’m looking over things I want to do and see when I’m over, but I’ll be sure to spend some time enjoying good food, good drinks and the company of nice people.
Now I’ll curl up under a blanket drink a large cup of tea and read a book. Autumn has certainly arrived. A good weekend to all of you 🙂
As I mentioned in my previous post the weather has been really great for september and I have used the opportunity to walk around in the sun just enjoying the last bit of summer before fall sets in and brings with it the rain that keeps pouring down here. I’m not all negative to the rain, it gives us loads of our electricity and the more rain the cheaper (or less expensive) it becomes and the more energy we can export. Anyway, most evenings this week the evenings has been absolutely lovely. Sadly I forgot my phone at home for a couple of the walks, so you’ll just have to take my word for the fact that it’s be beautiful. I got one good photo walking around a small lake around here.
Walking in the sunset
The good weather lasted untill the weekend kicked in so now that I would have the time to enjoy it properly it is pouring down. I’m not complaining (much), we’ve been very lucky with good weather this year. It seems I’m not the only person in Norway who goes on about weather. A Norwegian woman now holds a world record in weather forcasting. Take a look at this!
The weather the last days has been amazing. The sun is back after a rainy period and it’s very warm for september! Last week I was surprised not just by the nice weather but by the fact that the whole of town was decorated with pink balloons 🙂
Pink balloons in the morning
On my way back from work I found out that the balloons was for a campaign that aim for creating jobs in poorer countries. They really managed to make Stavanger pink and I would imagine they managed to get people to become a part of their programme.
Balloons, flowers and sun
Even Stavanger’s most famous writer Alexander Kielland looked like he was very happy with his pink balloon.

This weekend of good weather has been spent helping to change a bit of the roof on our summer house, sleeping and meeting up with a few friends. Hopeyour weekend has been as good as mine!
Last week I went to a meeting, with work, where we were presented with Jotuns new products and a new and wonderful pallet of this season’s colours.
The meeting was at Solastrandgård, a lovely place to hold meetings and weddings etc. It’s in an old barn that is decorated in a lovely way, the food is very good and the people who work there are very nice.
Very exiting news
The news that were presented seemed very exiting and the new colours are really good. Minty Breeze is the one I have the most faith in.
Interesting and inspirering
Got some inspiration and tea with me on the way home 🙂
