After we had come home from our trip to the summer-house we did some nice tings in our own town. There was a lot of different things happening at once and the weather was quite lovely. So we met up with my brother and Ickle Pickles cousin and my mother. Ickle Pickle’s cousin is 3 months older than her and they have great fun together. We also met up with some other friends of my brother’s that has kids around the same age.
In town they had loads of old fire trucks on display, it was very hard to get any good photos of them because of all the people and trying to contain a very happy active toddler, but they vere quite cool. I got a photo of some cool veteran cars that had taken the drive in to the centre of town.
There was also a festival called Fjordstream where there was a lot of verteran boats in the harbour. There was a lot of shanty choires accordion groups and the likes, singing and playing on the different boats. There were loads of people in to see the boats and other things happening. There were a few boats that you could join for a little trip. But as there was a good bit of wind and we had other things for doing, we did not join in this time around. The little ones were dancing in the street, got free bananas and was enjoying everything that was going on.
After we had been looking at the boats for a little while, we made our way over to another place in town for a free activity day for kids that was part of the 900th jubilee celeberations and a festival called Island hop. At this festival there was also a boat called resturation that was a replica of one of the boats taking the emigrants over to America in 1825. At the Activity day there was a pirate concert, free delicious ice cream, loads of activities and a “fishotec”. The last thing was a dico for kids with a fish theme and it was a big hit!
After a while at the activity day, Ickle Pickle had burned a lot of energy and had so much fun. We managed to get her to come eat something nice in town before she fell asleep on the bus home. All was content with the full, but great day.
In other news my back is a lot better than it was and I am very happy about it. Hope life is treating you well too.

Yes my Volvo Amazon was nice and the Volvo 142 too. In between those two I had an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It was big but maybe not nice.
