This afternoon I went down to ser the Mayor of Stavanger light the christmas tree. This is something we always used to do when I was a child. We used to eat out frist and then we would get gingerbread figures. This year I choose the smallest, a gingerbread face 🙂 It was tasty and of course I appreciate the pink frosting.

There where, as usual, choirs singing on stage, the salvation army band played carols, the Mayor lit the lights and all the people was singing and those who wanted did so while walking around the tree. Sadly I did not get a good picture of the tree, but the one below will at least give you an idea.
The park in town looks a treat as well. I’ll post some pictures once I find the time to take them.
