Christmas is coming and preparations are well on way. Last sunday was first sunday of advent and the traditional lighting of the christmas tree was on. I was there and soaked up the christmas spirit.

So far I’ve gotten a christmas calendar from my parents, just like last year. Played two christmas concerts, started looking for presents and other little preparations.

Friday we went out for a christmas dinner with some good friends and ate traditional norwegian christmas food. I had something called pinnekjøtt, that literally translates to stick meat, it’s a salty lamb meat and I really enjoyed it.

Today we gathered at my parents place to make marzipan and eat. Due to playing at a christmas concert I missed the traditional making of other christmas pastry, but at least I got some of them home to eat.

I love marzipan but the only kind I’ve ever had is from the See’s candy store. My kids have even been known to buy me a box of dark chocolate marzipan for Christmas!
I like marzipan too. Dark chocolate marzipan sounds like a wonderful thing to get for christmas!
