This weekend I went to our summer-house to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet after a busy week. There are few things as calming as waking up to the sound of singing birds and the waves hitting the beach.

The weather was really on my side. And I got to do a lot of nice walks in the woods and enjoyed listening to the birds and the beautiful sunshine. The signs of spring was all around.

I am so ready for easter holiday now!

I agree. There are few things as lovely to wake up to as nature and the sea – lovely!
I think it is a lovely way to charge ones batteries.
Getaways are the best! Add in a little privacy and saltwater, and it’s perfect. 😃
I agree!
What a nice break!
It really was!
I really need a nature break right now.
Do you get any time off at easter?
Just the regular weekend. We have some wild areas here in town, so I wouldn’t have to drive far.
What a lovely way to spend the weekend.
Thank you, it really was!
Sounds like a peaceful getaway and that looks like a lovely walk. Hope spring hurries up for you and you get lots is sunshine soon 😊
Thank you, it was a wonderful weekend. Spring is here, but that doesn’t always mean we get sunshine.
Agreed, there are few things more beautiful and tranquil than the sound of birds chirping or waves lapping up on shore. Very peaceful.
Very peaceful indeed. It was calming for body and mind.
I can feel the lovely ambiance from the illustrations. Lucky you.
Thank you. I feel very lucky!
It looks so serene. What a lovely break 🙂
It was wonderfully serene!
Waking up to nature is fabulous! Glad you are all ready for Easter!
It sure is. I just left the office and I’m very much ready to leave for Ireland tomorrow morning!
Just reading this post, I think I snuck a little of that tranquility away for myself. Thanks for that. A getaway like you’ve had – sometimes even for a day, an hour, or just a few minutes on a walk – feels like a reset button at times, doesn’t it? Happy Easter.
A little getaway is a very precious thing and it does feel like hitting a reset button, you are right. Happy easter to you too.
