August

Today is the first day of a new month. August is the last of the summer months. This month will bring a lot of different things both at work and private. One of the things I will be doing is going to a friends wedding and visiting a new country. And I am really looking forward to it. I had some vacation in June and I am ready to have a few more days in August.

A new months feels like a clean sheet of paper just waiting for me to fill it in. And hopefully this months writing will be very good.

Last months went by very quickly and it feels like this summer is trying to run as fast as it can and that it will be over almost as soon as it begin. Luckily I have a busy, but exiting fall ahead. And I feel ready to grasp the opurtunities that come my way.

So what do you want to fill your blank August page with?

  1. Couple more trips, some lake and pool time, and our boys start back to school soon. Once that happens, the grind is on. 😃

  2. So you are going to visit a new country? Are you going to tell us which one, or do we all have to go to the airport and see if you come through?

  3. I can’t believe it’s August already. This year went by fast although some of my year moved really slowly!

I really need to make the most of this last bit of summer. I’m not a fan of autumn or winter at all. I think the cold and dark affects my mood. My husband and I are meeting friends tonight who we haven’t seen in a long time. We’re also going to try and get out walking in the countryside if the weather can hold out! We’re going on holiday to the south of england in early September so we’re hoping we catch some sunshine then too!

  6. Enjoy the last of your summer, we will be coming out of winter!! Yay.

  7. August for me is going to be about completing some projects and moving into September lighter and more focused.

This year is flying by! I’m going to be moving at the end of August, but until then, I’m going to be catching up on my Reading Challenge. 🙂

I plan on doing a lot of writing. I’m hoping I’ll get my second novel finished this month. Cross your fingers for me!

  10. Enjoy the wedding, Maja and your trip to a new country!
Enjoy the wedding, Maja and your trip to a new country! My August will be filled with writing and trying to make sense of this thing called existence! On a lighter note, I shall spend time socialising with friends, a few drinks followed by a good meal is a wonderful way to spend a convivial evening! All the best, Kevin

I hope you have time to slow down and enjoy August before your exciting autumn!

I have been LOVING this summer. It is going quickly, but it is so fun to explore and walk outside in the summer sun. I am hoping August will be full of bbqs, swimming and giggles.

  12. I love the image of a blank page waiting to be filled….and, you are soooo right, time is running full speed. Today makes one year since I bought my house, so I am taking moments to reflect on how blessed I am to have comfort, privacy, beautiful views, and a place of my very own in which to grow. Given that September will be really busy (the students will be back at school, so I will be counseling at least 4 kids per day), I will use August to get caught up on paperwork and reviewing learnings from recent trainings. On weekends, I will be writing and taking in the gorgeous sun and marveling at the beauty of nature while in the company of my sweet dogs. Thanks for sharing 🙂
