3 reasons I went back to blogging

1. I was extremely busy and had way too much going on at once. This made me more stressed than I realized and I came to a certain point where I just could not keep up with anything anymore. At that stage I started cuting down on all the things that made me very busy, up to the point where I found myself with time on my hands (for the first time in an age). And as I thought about what I wanted to fill my time with blogging was at the top of the list, and so I eased back in to it very slowly to be sure that going back was really what I wanted. And what do you know here I am!

2. I missed the lovely people I interacted with in the bloggiverse. You could say that I would still be able to interact with all these people even if I was not bloging myself. And, yes, technically I could, but I found it was not the same. Reading posts and engaging with people is very time consuming and if I had the time and energy to follow up on the interaction I might as well engage in my own blog as well. What comming back has shown me is how wonderful and welcoming you all have been since my return. I am overwhelmed by all the comments and all the people stopping by my blog since I posted my first post in over a year. I thougt for sure I would have been forgotten by all of you by now.

3. I really missed having an outlet for my thoughts and pictures. Even if I might not share everything on my blog at all times I found that being able to share what I wanted to share was quite teraputic at times. And writing about things that has happened makes the memories of things stronger for me. It is kind of like when you take notes in a class or meeting, just writing it down helps you remeber it better even if you don’t read it afterwards. I have also gotten very lazy when it comes to taking pictures of things in my everyday life, taking pictures thinking I might use them for the blog has made me take pictures of a lot of things I normally would forget to photograph . Over the year or so I was away from blogging I find I have quite few photos to look back on from holidays and everyday life.

I really am glad I decided to come back!

  1. I’m glad you’re back with great photos and glimpses into your life again, Maja – I’ve only been to Sweden (work related) many years ago and wished I could also visit Norway, but your blog has helped me get better acquainted with your country – Thank you 🤗

    1. It used to be for me too and now it looks like it can be again! There are so many nice people here and I’m glad too see people again and make new blogging friends.

  2. Yay! It’s so nice to see you back 🙂 I also took a break, almost a year, for similar reasons – I was just too busy to keep up with blogging and it was also feeling like a chore. It sure is nice to be back though and see familiar faces (like yours!) again 🙂

  3. We are glad too!

I find that my blog is my digital journal!

Plus the interaction is wonderful! I have met bloggers who have become real and personal friends!

    Keep on …keepin’ on!

  4. Lovely photos and all great reasons for sure. It’s like something is missing when you take a break, and it’s always great to get back into blogging with fresh ideas and thoughts.
Have a lovely weekend Maja 🙂

  5. I must say, I never stopped blogging though sometimes I do more and lately I do less. I don’t feel like I must blog constantly or read every blog I follow every day. That makes it easier. But I wouldn’t quit, as I would miss the people here like you. I remember back when I asked you if a “masgautsen” was a type of fish! I am smarter now! And I am glad to see you back. 😺

  6. I’m so glad you have returned but, gosh, has it really been a whole year!? I missed seeing your adventures to Iteland and your musical ventures too. Welcome back!
