The thoughts and life of me

This week has been really warm and mostly sunny. Apart from not getting too much sleep it has been really nice. Monday I had a visit from a friend that I had not seen in a while, so that was very nice.

Wednesday I was supposed to go to band practice, but it got canceled. I was looking forward to starting the season, but it was so warm that day that I was a little glad it got canceled. So in the evening we went to a beach close by to go dip in the ocean and sit and enjoy a while by the sea where there was a little bit of a breeze. As it was so warm we were not hungry earlier so as we drove back from the beach in the evening we stopped at McDonald’s for a quick evening meal.

On Thursday the weather was just as warm, but there was a bit of a breeze to be had, so we enjoyed the evening in the garden. Yesterday was the last day at work for one of my colleagues. So we went out after work to grab a few drinks. It was not as warm and nice as the other days so we moved from drinking outside to drinking in some of the pubs. I must say I was very impressed by the way that the bar staff was making sure that everyone observed the social distancing rules. I met up with my other half and one of our friends for a last beer before going home and as soon as I sat down at the table where I could not keep a metre distance with my other half they where over to as if we were a part of the same household. They where really taking this very serious and that felt very safe. This morning I was very happy that we made it home just after ten last night.
