A little while ago I went for a little stroll around the botanical garden that is just up a hill from where I live. It is always lovely to walk around there in spring and summer and look at all of those beautiful flowers.
The collections in Stavanger Botanical Garden include more than 3000 different species and varieties. The plant diversity and the collections are organized according to the themes of food, senses, history, geographical distribution and aesthetics. Stavanger Botanical Garden has its own greenhouse, where most of the material is grown from seed.
