5 reasons I went back to blogging

1. Things in my life are back to a new normal

When I took a break from blogging my life felt like a bit of a mess. I was very stressed out at work and with other things and even the things I loved, like blogging, felt like a chore and at the moment it was just adding to the stress I felt, so I decided to take a little break. The little break turned out to become quite long, and it is not till now I feel like things are back to a point where blogging and writing is going to bring me the joy it used to.

I thought a lot about comming back many times during my hiatus, but I wanted to make sure I was really ready before returning, and here I am.

2. The lovely people

One of the things I missed the most during my, longer than planned, abcence was you. Yes you, the lovely people I met here on WordPress. I know I could have stayed on here reading and following without blogging myself, but that was not something I managed to do. I tried a few times when I felt like comming back, but I always ended up feeling a bit overwhelmed. And it did not feel the same as I did not feel like I was a part of things. A bit silly I know, but there you are.

And what really amazed me an nearly brought a tear to my eye is to see so many still around and that you remember me. Even after such a long break.

3. Writing

I do love to write and now that things have settled down somewhat I started to really miss having an outlet where I can write. Once I get properly up and going here again I will have to work on my hand writing again too. I had to write something down the other day and it has gotten quite awful.

4. Setting goals and feeling of achievement

One of the things that I have always enjoyed about blogging is that I can set small or bigger goals for myself here and working on my blog always gives me a sense of achievement that I don’t get, as easily, in other aspects of my life.

5. Just because

I don’t really have a good 5th reason, but as all good lists are either 3, 5, 7 or 10 things I had to add a number 5.

Hope your weekend is treating you well!

  1. Your post resonated with me. I have always been a writer – whether I wrote poetry or music or journal entries, I have always written. I just started on WordPress after a soul-searching journey lead me back to what I need in order to maintain balance in my challenging life: I need to write and be part of a community who resonates with my self-expression.

I’m glad I found you. I’ll be following closely.

  2. Welcome back.

I hear you and I have been in a similar situation. I finally decided to go back again with a new blog. I have been going back and forth for years questioning whether I am adding any value.

However, somehow, I am becoming more stressed and feel like lost sometimes. I started to go back to writing and I feel better.

Now I plan to populate my thoughts hoping that it can value other people

  3. “Thank you for sharing your journey back to blogging! I completely resonate with the reasons you’ve mentioned, especially about expressing yourself creatively and reconnecting with the community. Blogging truly provides a platform to engage with like-minded individuals and showcase your unique perspective on topics you’re passionate about.

I also love the point about personal growth — writing consistently does wonders for honing your skills and expanding your knowledge. It’s inspiring to see how blogging can be a form of self-development and even a source of motivation.

Looking forward to more insightful posts from you! Keep up the great work.”
