My weekend

This weekend stared off by me going to my mother’s house for a family Taco night. Well, with two of the guests being under two, night is a bit of a stretch, but we had Taco and family time. When Ickle Pickle went to sleep I drove to join in a teambuilding at the office for a while. We had a great time, but I am glad I did not stay late. Sleep is very valuable these days!

Saturday Ickle Pickle and I went to visit her cousin and after that we just stayed around the house, had a nice dinner and a relaxing evening.

Today I played with a group from my band at a church that was celeberating their 25th anniversary. Then we went to my mother’s house again for dinner and good company.

What have you been up to this weekend?

  1. Yesterday was with friends. Today, I am doing my own thing at home, which has been a mixture of watching movies and listening to some music. And a bit of reading.

      1. That’s as it should be, Maja. Grandparents give help on one hand and get some from the other. I didn’t get grandchildren by my old son and his wife still come to help me with things and I feed them. Fair trade, right? 🙂

  2. That sounds like such a nice weekend! My wife decided that before her show’s head Writer went back to LA, we’d do a classic NYC bar crawl…and ended up going to three of the oldest and most iconic bars in the city…luckily we can walk and subway everywhere so we could have some fun and sleep in the next day!

  3. Family Taco night sounds like such a fun way to kick things off, and it’s great that you were able to enjoy both family time and some teambuilding activities. I totally agree—sleep is so important, especially with little ones around! It’s wonderful that you got to celebrate with your band at the church as well.

As for my weekend, I spent some quality time with friends, exploring new music and relaxing at home. How did the 25th anniversary celebration go?

    1. Sounds like you had a good weekend. I did not join in a lot of the celeberation. I was only there to provide som music with a group from band. But they got the mayor in an everything and the program for the rest of the week looked good.

  4. I love taco night with or without family. Sounds like a good weekend. We managed a bit of yard work , a walk and a bike ride, but cooler temps are moving in. We managed a short video chat with my son and grandbaby who are in the Netherlands right now. That was a highlight as the little one gets close to their 1st birthday. Happy Monday. Allan
