Winter weather

This weekend we got quite a lot of snow and the weather is propper winter weather. We have gotten great use out of the tobogan that Ickle Pickle got for Christmas and she loves it. So much so that it was hard carrying her in when she started looking like a tiny Yeti, because of all the protesting. Hopefully it will stof snowing soon, so that I can still get to the car without too much work. I had it out yesterday, but it is still snowing, so hopefully I won’t have to dig it out tomorrow.

My other half is of to visit his family this weekend, so it is just myself and Pickles. We are having loads of fun, but it is very busy. Now she is asleep and I have a little time to myself and I decided to spend them here instead of doing chores.

Tomorrow we are going up for a visit to my mother, so that I get to enjoy a shower alone and so that we all have some company while we eat. So a busy but not very eventful weekend for me this time around. That is quite nice because I am very busy at work at the moment and soon it will be full speed with band practices again too.

Not much relaxing getting done, alone with a 1,5 years old. But still it feels nice not to have any plans or many things that you need to get done. I’ve just accepted that nothing wil be done this weekend and just trying to make sure the house looks ok enough for playing in.

What are you up to this first weekend of the year?

  1. Snow is nice when it does not fall on the roads and sidewalks. I am sure Ickle Pickle had a great time sliding down the hills and will have memories from this for a long time. Happy Saturday. Allan

  2. You are working hard to find the work / life balance…we are catching up with the people we need to see while in LA before heading back to New York…difference in temperature between the two cities is currently 45 degrees!

  3. Burrr, that looks cold, Mas! 🙂 I liked seeing the tiny tracks in the snow.

Pickle is an adorable endearment/nickname. I remember someone using it in an old TV rerun when I was a child. Stay safe and well. Hugs.

  4. Our snow all melted with the rain last week here in Minnesota. We had planned to go ice skating out on the lake this first weekend of 2025, but with the temps at -3℉ we decided to just stay in and take advantage of AppleTV’s free weekend.
