Why I dissapeared for a little while

Some of you may have noticed that I have been gone from the blog for a little while, it was not a planned abcence, but I had been sick for some time and it kept getting worse. I had big troubble with eating and drinking and last Wendesday I felt really bad and went back to the doctor who sent me to the hospital. I spent some time in the emergency room getting checked out before the put me in a ward for around a week and a half.

A bag of nutrition

They did a lot of tests, none of them was very pleasant, but in the end they did find out what was wrong and found out how they could treat it for now and in the future. I got nutrition in my arm and after a while through a feeding tube, before I had a small surgery and can now eat soft foods. I have to go back in around 6 weeks to do it again, but they thing it will get me good results and this is something I can live with quite comfortably.

Hope I don’t have to drink these again anytime soon

Now I am at home to continue to recover and I have to go back to my doctor for blood tests every week for a while to make sure I don’t get something they called “refeeding syndrome”. At the moment I am feeling ok, just very drained of energy.

Got some nice flowers when I came home

All my friends and family has been a great support and Ickle Pickle did well without her mommy home. She fid find it very strange that I had so many tubes and bags in the hospital, but she was great. We’re all glad to be home.

  1. So sorry to read this…an unexpected illness is so disruptive and I am glad they were able to find a solution for you…also great that your family was there to support you so you had the time to get the treatment you needed….you have a lot of supporters wishing you the best right now from all over the world…

  2. I read this in the early morning hours on my phone. I couldn’t sleep and definitely after reading this. This whole thing sounds quite serious and I hope they have found the cause but it doesn’t sound like it. The fact Ickle Pickle did well without you means you have a good support system in place for her. That’s a good thing. Keep getting better and try to take things a little easier. Please.

  3. We hope you are recovered now.

As you write, we don’t give advice to kids if we are not asked for it.
On the other hand, we have to admit that we got clever advice from our professor as young students.

  4. I did notice things were quiet. I am sorry to hear you have not been well. It sounds as though things have been tough.

May you be back to yourself soon.

    Take care.

  5. So sorry to read about your difficult weeks. God bless you with a complete recovery🙏🏻. Now that you’re home, hopefully rest and family love will quicken your healing!💗

  6. I want to express my heartfelt concern for your well-being during this time. I firmly believe that with strength and resilience, you will overcome any challenges you are facing. Please take care, and know that my thoughts are with you as you focus on your recovery.

  7. Prayers and thoughts are with you and in my mind I’m always thinking it’s covid connection because alot of everything is still tied to it. Media and government downplaying the still reality. Glad you are back. Peace and the best to you
