As I mentioned in my previous post the weather has been really great for september and I have used the opportunity to walk around in the sun just enjoying the last bit of summer before fall sets in and brings with it the rain that keeps pouring down here. I’m not all negative to the rain, it gives us loads of our electricity and the more rain the cheaper (or less expensive) it becomes and the more energy we can export. Anyway, most evenings this week the evenings has been absolutely lovely. Sadly I forgot my phone at home for a couple of the walks, so you’ll just have to take my word for the fact that it’s be beautiful. I got one good photo walking around a small lake around here.

The good weather lasted untill the weekend kicked in so now that I would have the time to enjoy it properly it is pouring down. I’m not complaining (much), we’ve been very lucky with good weather this year. It seems I’m not the only person in Norway who goes on about weather. A Norwegian woman now holds a world record in weather forcasting. Take a look at this!

Nice! Okay…I’m interested…how does the rain give you electricity?
The rain as such does not give us electricity, but in Norway we use much hydrapower (99% commes from this) and the rain fills up the pools in the hydrapower plants. http://www.statkraft.com/energy-sources/hydropower/
Aha! I was thinking something sorta like that. That’s very cool.
Nice weather is just so lovely. It never fails to brighten my mood.
I do agree with you there! But a litle bit of rain helps us be more thankful for the sun 🙂
