This weekend I felt the need to just relax and regroup. And I decided to take a trip to our summer-house, even if it’s not summer anymore.
The weather was very up and down, but I brought some good books and got to go for some amazing walks. I managed to miss the worst of the rain and only got a little of the hail storm while I was out and about. And when I was inside the weather wasn’t very important to me.
After a long walk on Saturday I went over to a nearby little town to enjoy, among other things, a lovely antique shop. I also bought a few things I forgot to bring and got a nice coffee that I enjoyed outside.
We got an extra hour to sleep this weekend as well because Norway is changing from summertime to wintertime and that suited me as this weekend was very much about relaxation for me!
Looks like a fun break.
It was. I enjoyed myself a lot and felt like I got to recharge my batteries before I enter a very busy time!
What a lovely relaxing break. Downtime with walks and a book is so soothing. You are right about the extra hour in bed, it felt like a real treat. We’ve been visiting family three hours drive from here. Been busy out meeting everyone, but special to catch up and have lots of lovely meals. I need a break now! A couple of days at the Stuga would not go amiss!
I sure had a lovely and relaxing time. Sounds like you had a nice time as well. I think some time off at your Stuga would be very relaxing indeed.
Pretty photos!!
Thank you very much
I like the change to the colder months as it heralds a time for burrowing, my favorite pastime. Your break seems like it was exactly what you needed. π
It sure was what I needed. I enjoyed the weekend a lot.
Never a bad time to take a getaway. Good for you. We’re taking one this coming weekend ourselves. And we turn our clocks back this weekend too. Extra hour of sleep Sunday! Yeah!!π
It’s lovely to get away for the weekend. Are you going far away? The extra hour was very much appreciated!
Yeah, we’ll have about a ten hour drive. But it’s sooooo worth it! π
Wow that is quite a distance! I’m glad I only had to drive for an hour and a short ride on the ferry. Hope it will be a great trip!
No trip is a bad trip! π
A pleasant weekend and beautiful photos to prove it. I am glad that you had an enjoyable time!
Thank you! It was a lovely very much needed trip!
Even without summer, your pictures look lovely, great views! π
Thank you!
I also am a big fan of antiques shops. Did you buy anything? In the UK our clocks also went back. I like the fact that my Kindle and other electronic devices automatically adjust to the revised time without the need for human intervention! Kevin
The woman who runs the shop makes some lovely cards that I got to give away. I also like the fact that I didn’t have to adjust the clocks myself.
Glad you got some nice cards. Its always great to get something which isn’t mass produced but has been made with care by a craftsman. Many years ago I had a girlfriend who made cards. I may still even have one in a drawer somewhere! Kevin
They are nicer to give and to get.
