This weekend I have been relaxing a bit and doing a few small things. Friday I went to a few different shops to start sorting some nice Easter treats for the kids of friends and family. Then the rest of the evening was spent on the couch in front of the TV watching Superstore on Netflix.

Saturday I went to the post office to send some candy and activities over to Ireland, the US and Bergen to make sure that it can get there on time. I do think that these days a few small nice things can make a difference, even if it is just some crayons, stickers and candy from abroad. After that we met the people that we are buying our house from to go over the house. I had to run a few errands to get ready for the move and then we went out for a nice curry in the evening.

Tomorrow it is time for us to get the keys to our new home. There is a lot of work to be done, but at the moment I am really looking forward to it. But ask me again in a month, the answer might be different.
Now I have installed myself in my pajamas on the couch, with a cup of coffee and a sandwich for breakfast. I have lit some candles and have the cross country skiing on the TV in the background. This is what I call a really good Sunday morning. I hope it will give me some positive energy that I can use to do some packing later. The weather outside is very wet so I won’t feel like I should have spent the day outside instead of staying in.
How are you spending you weekend?

Beautiful post
Thank you!
My pleasure 🥰
🙂
Please read my post
Netflix is fun and a lot less expensive then cable 🙂 what ever happened to a basket with artificial grass filled with ‘Cadbury Cream Eggs’ ❓
That has never been a thing here in Norway. So I am not sure what happened to that 🙂 Netflix works well for us!
As a Norwegian 🇳🇴 kid growing up in Minnesota 🇺🇸 Easter baskets where just like Christmas morning and a signal of a new upcoming summer 😉
We usually got a carboard egg with candy in them 🙂
Svenskarnas Dag is always a fun festival in Minneapolis ❗️
Sounds festive. Do you celeberate Norwegian Constitution day
I’m not sure, being a Yankee Doodle 🇺🇸 I sure do celebrate a lot of holidays. Let me know when it is and I will skol an Akvavit (virtualy) with you 😉
It is the 17th of May 😉
OMG that is a week (or so) after Cinco de Mayo 🇲🇽 It takes a while for Tequila to work out of ones system ❗️
Hahah
Here in Kansas a rainy Sunday

Thank you
Enjoy the Sunday and getting into your new house. Stay well. Allan
Thank you Allan, Stay well
The food looks so good, yum! You have family here in the States too, cool. Happy Sunday! ❤️
Thank you, it was a lovely treat. I have a brother-in-law over there. Happy Sunday
A terrific weekend for you! Getting some things done, enjoying a nice time with some good food as well! I made Paella with Langoustines, Mussels, Clams, Chorizo and chicken…
Thank you, it was. That sounds wonderful!
So excited for you, and that drink looks wonderful.
Thank you, it was!
A ” few small things” DO make a difference; I think sometimes a lot of us think they won’t so why bother. As in, if you can’t afford or are unable to do a *huge* gesture, it isn’t worth doing. But I know how pleased I am when someone does even a little thing for me.
Your posts once again remind me to enjoy my life where I can & I want you to know your influence is one of the things that has made a difference.
Thank you for your kind words. It made me start my day with a smile!
Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday before getting your motor running for a hard work week ahead. We should all take some down time. My sister left midday Sunday and I just melted into the couch and watched what was recorded and read a bit. Now, back to work. 🙂 I’m excited to see what you are going to do to the new house. So happy for you.
Thank you Marlene. It is lovely to have visitors, but there is always some relaxation required when they depart. At least it is for me.
It is beautifully written article about relaxed weekend.
Thank you very much!
I love rainy days because I have an excuse to stay in my PJ’s! Lol. Did the kids like their easter treats?
That is nice, They really enjoyed them 🙂
