We had kind of a grey Sunday, but the temperature was nice. Early in the day we had some friends and their kids over and then we decided to drive down to the beach to get a little walk in and enjoy a bit of fresh sea air.
We drove down to a beach called Ølberg that is not to far away from where we live and went for a little walk down the beach and out to the pier. We only just avoided the rain, but the weather was OK for our little walk. Usually when going to Ølberg we get an ice cream or some french fries from the little kiosk there. Or we go for a lovely Sunday dinner at the beach restaurant, but this day it was not the day for it. So we will have to go back for some treats another time.
There was a lot of other people out enjoying the cloudy day as well, but as the rain started to pour down after a while, they like us, found their cars and the car park started to empty quite quick.
When I was a child I spent a lot of time at this beach, because my grandmother used to have a little cottage down here. It was not far from home, but it was a lovely escape in the summer time. We would always have a place to park the car, even if the car park was full and we would have somewhere to eat dinner.
We walked up to where the old little cottage was and found that someone is currently building a new summer house there. As it was over 15 years ago that we sold the place, and it was already very much in need of a lot of work, I was happy to see that someone will be getting much use for it.
I am very ready for a new weekend now, hope yours will be great!
