Hi. You liked a couple of my posts earlier today, so I thought I’d check out your blog. This post resonated with me. I started blogging as retirement loomed, knowing that I’d need to do something to keep my brain active. Blogging does just that, and there is a real sense of achievement when I nail and publish a new post. I too enjoy writing, but much of my career was spent writing, long, dreary reports that must have been as boring to read as they were to write. My unwritten agreement (until now) with myself was that I’d never, ever write a blog post that would have got past my bosses at work!
And I too enjoy being part of a community. When I started blogging and read about this “community of bloggers” I snorted cynically, but I admit now that I was wrong. Interactions with that community are probably the part of blogging that I enjoy the most.
I hope your return to blogging delivers successfully on the reasons you set out in your post. I think I’ll follow you for a while, just to see how things go! Best wishes to you.
