This weekend I have mostly spent playing with my brass band. We have a competition comming up next week and have rehearsed for that. So Friday after work I picked up some take away food for the family so we could enjoy before Ickle Pickle went to bed and I went off to rehersals.
Saturday I spent the morning making a nice slow breakfast and reading some books the little one picked out of the book box andtidying up some of the duplo that always seem to take over the livingroom. Then I was off again to spend the day in good company plaing and eating pizza for lunch, When I came home in the afternoon I was tired so after a meal we did not get up to much.
Sunday started at 04:50, because the clocks changed from Summer to Winter time, but it seems Ickle Pickle did not get that memo, so we had a long fun morning letting Daddy sleep in a little bit. I went off to play some more. Then I had time to join the others for a visit to my mother’s house for a while before I went to the concert house to play a concert to finish off the weekend of playing. After the concert I stoped off to get a burger and some fries as I had missed dinner, so all in all it was not the healthiest weekend, but that is somtimes needed too. I had a lot of fun, but I fell asleep as soon as my head tuched the pillow in the evening. Now we only have two rehersals and one more concert before the competition next Saturday. It does feel good beng back out doing something I enjoy.

Playing in a brassband! That’s cool. What is your instrument called? (No, I don’t mean it’s personal name, like Olaf or Störe 🙂 ). Is it a bugle? My father used to play the trombone. I was always fascinated by the little tap to let the saliva out. 🙂
I play the cornet. It is kind of like a more compact trumpet with more soft sound 🙂

What a wonderful way to express yourself creatively…with your family part of a great weekend, and pizza too! We saw an incredible musical on Broadway and had some terrific pasta as well…now the week begins again!

What a weekend. Maybe Ickle Pickle has it right to ignore the clock change. Ours is coming up this weekend and we still have not adjusted to being one time zone West of our home. Sigh. They say we get an extra hour of sleep when the clocks fall back, but obviously they do not know me. Happy Monday. Allan

We did not do much. I bottled a beer I brewed (Hefeweizen), drank another (IPA) I brewed a month ago, and swam in our in-laws pool. I wish you the best of luck on Saturday.
