The weather has been very on and off, but spring has defenetly arrived
I have been very busy this week and it will be even worse next week. So unfortunantly I have neglected my blog and the blogs I usually like to read. But that’s just the way it is at times. Hopefully I will have some time to catch up with some of you over the weekend.
Dinner after a long day at the office yesterday
I am very much looking forward of easter and a bit of a holiday. It’s been quite some time since I have felt the need for a vacation this strongly. But even if I am very busy it’s a good kind of busy and I am enjoying.
Today has been quite a good day. I woke up early got a few hours of work in. Then it was time for lunch, some gift shopping and a lovely walk in the sunshine we were lucky to get today. Now It’s time for some blog reading and a cup of tea.
I hope you’re all doing well and that life is treating you kind.
Old canning factory
This weekend has had a very spring like feeling. After sending a me day on friday I had a relaxing evening and a chilled out morning. After that I had a entertainment competition with my band. It was all good fun and not a serious thing. The highlight of the competition was a visiting band from Wales. Consisting mostly of elderly people that started playing late in life.

When I had played in the competition, I hurried home to go change for one of my best friends’ 30th birthday party. There was sooo much good food and the company was great. We enjoyed some fun party games and a few drinks.
So today started a bit slow. I went out for a nice breakfast and the weather was so nice that I went for a good long walk by the sea through an old industrial area that is slowly but surely is being done up quite nicely in the old style.

Now I will go back to the wonderful #sundayblogshare at the “big up your blog” group at Facebook and enjoy some good blog posts.
A photo of the tequila bar
This weekend has been very lovely. Friday was St. Patrick’s day and it’s also the anniversary for me and my man. We celebrated by eating at a resturant called ” The adventures of Harry Pepper, the telephone man, on his way to Mexico” Harry Pepper for short. The resturant has been around since 1986, just like me. And they serve great mexican/southern american food. They have a vast selection of tequila and lovely drinks, but we decided to stick to beer as we had planned to drink Guinness later on. I ordered the mixed fajitas and it was very tasty.
Mixed fajitas with beef, chicken and scampi
After the nice meal We headed to the nearest Irish pub, the Irishman to enjoy some beer and the St.Patrick’s day spirit. The place was packed and the live music was good so we got the spirit as we entered the door.
Saturday it was time to go to our summer house and start getting it ready for use, after the winter. It waited till we had all the pillows, carpets and such from the first floor out in the sunshine to air before it decided to start snowing a little.
Today we’re celebrating my brother’s birthday with relatives at my mother’s house. Good food and good company is a great day to end the week!
What have you been up to this weekend?
Lovely seafood for lunch
This weekend I have had a little more energy than I have had lately. So yesterday we went out for a few beers and had a very enjoyable friday evening. Today I actually got a few very necessary house hold duties. They have been terrible neglected over the last while. There is still a little to do, but it’s a good start. Then I met up with a friend for a lovely lunch. Now I’m enjoying watching the womens 30 km skiing, hoping for a Norwegian win.
What the rest of the will bring I’m not sure of, but so far so good!
Weekends are always something I’m looking forward to, but this weekend the feeling of elevation was extra strong this week. I’ve been a little tired over the week and the thought of not having to be up early for two days in a row!
Last week I went out to enjoy a lovely meals that I did not have to make myself. I went to an italian resturant I like to go to from time to time.
White pizza with reindeer meat, pommegranade, buffalo mozzarella and mushroom
I went for a white pizza with reindeer meat, pommegranade, buffalo mozzarella and mushroom, called Snøhetta. It was really good and left med very full!
I started my friday by dropping by the library and picking up some books to read instead of watching the inaguration of the US new president…
Sushi and passionfruit beer makes a good start to the weekend
It’s weekend again! And for me it’s a weekend in between a lot of busy times. Som this weekend is all about relaxing and doing some of the things I feel guilty for not doing when I’m busy. The facts that a lot of the things are enjoyable is just a great bonus.
So I started off leaving work a little earlier than I had anticipated. And I went to get some lovely sushi and treated myself to a lovely craft beer with passionfruit. I did a few things that needed doing and the just relaxed on the couch before meeting up with some friends at the pub for a couple.
Today is a slow morning, enjoying my coffee, reading some blogg posts before we’re going out for brunch later. Thank it’s up to my mums house to help her with a few things and get nice food. The Norwegian men’s handball team are playing in the world championship som we will enjoy the game on the couch.
And som far there is nothing much planned for Sunday! Ah, I love weekends like this.
Hope your weekend is treating you as well as mine seem to be treating me.
This weekend I will use to get ready for easter. And my apartment is in dire need of a good clean up. I got off to a good start yesterday and hope I won’t give up any time soon.
There is a World Championship in biathlon going on in Oslo and my parents and brother is there to watch, but I’m happy to just watch on tv. Yesterday Norway ‘ s team in the women ‘ s relay got the gold medal. They were outsiders to the gold and everyone was really happy for them. They are a very sympathetic and still very young group. We have high hopes for the men today. Where the women has done better than expected many of the men has had a worse Championship then was thought in advance, but if they all have a great day a new gold might be within reach.
There is also a Ski Tour in Canada to end the cross country skiing season. Here the Norwegian women have done much better than the competition, but there is still exititement as to whom will get what medal. In the mens competition there are two Norwegians chasing the russian in the lead before the last leg of the tour.
I hope you will all have a great weekend. What are your plans?
