Another snowy weekend

The snow is still around here, but they have said that it will start to melt tomorrow. I am really hoping it will dissapear soon. We are having a quiet weekend, due to the fact that one of the seasonal bugs have found their was to us.

Yesterday I had my mother over for some lasagna that I had been wanting to make since I saw John’s post. I did not make the same one he had, but a much simpler one that is easier to make when you have a toddler demanding attention and getting into troubble if you don’t keep an eye out at all times. But the lasagna turned out quite good and I made enough for that to be our dinner today as well. Seeing as everybody likes it, that is not the worst, might spice it up with a little sprinkle of pancetta today, just to make it a little different.

Today I have been and will hopefully contionue to be it a bit of a household mood and get some much needed things out of the way. All the Christmas decorations, are down, if I have not forgotten any somewhere and the washing machine is working very hard. This evening the plan is to eat food, relax and maybe watch a movie. And then I will go for a massage to use a giftcard I got for Christmas.

Tomorrow we will be tidying a little more and the we bring some take away for my mother and help her with something in the house before I am going to band practice.

So, that was my weekend plans, what are you getting up to?

  1. Sounds like you have a good weekend planned. Hope the snow does not slow you down. We are off to the market this AM, as long as last night’s freezing rain has not made driving impossible. Enjoy your weekend. Allan

  2. Good plans for a winter weekend! I love lasagna and each time I make it, it turns out a little different. No one seems to notice except me, though! We got a little bit of snow today (in the northeast U.S.) but we will be able to go out to dinner later without a problem.

    1. Yeah, in most parts of Norway, I live in the South West. We get snow on occation, but usuallynnot too much and for long. More slush and ice here when it is cold
