Easter visit and travels

We had a really lovely visit from one of my friends from my days in Universiy in Bergen, last weekend. They arrived a little late on Friday and we had time for a litle pizza before it was bed time. The next day we walked in to town to have a look in the shops and enjoy some nice food in one of the most cosy cafees I know. After the children got tired we had to get a Starbucks on our way home to get the energy up. We had dinner at home and had loads of time to catch up. After the kids went to bed we shared a bottle of wine and caught eahother up and the things going on in our life.

Lovely Chicken Thai soup

On Sunday we went for a walk around the lake by our house and got some waffles at the art museum and then we had a rest at home before we surprised the kids with a trip to go play minigolf. And then we went to go get dinner at a place called Pincho Nation that has many small dishes and many fancy drinks, both with or without alcohol. Everybody was happy with both the activities and the food. Everybody was really tired when we got home and Ickle Pickle was to wired to wanting to get to sleep. But she was really pleased with the visitors.

Minigolf

They went on to their next destination on Monday morning, and I had to work. After work my mother had invited us up to her house for a wonderful Easter lamb dinner. Today we invited her over so she could help us empthy the fridge before we are going to travel to Ireland tomorrow. I am looking forward to it even more now that it is this close.

  2. So you had a lovely past weekend! It’s always a pleasure to have good friends around. The chicken thai soup looks delicious! (I’m hungry right now so everything food catches my eye extra 🙂 ) I wish you a wonderful trip to Ireland. Have fun and get back safely.

  3. The soup looks real good and it sounds like a wonderful visit with old friends. You get to celebrate Easter for a long time with both families and also friends. I’ve never done mini golf much less glow in the dark but it looks fun. Sounds like you are feeling better. Have a great trip to Ireland.
