We have had a really nice and good weekend. It started off by leaving a bit early form work on Friday to collect from kindergarden and go home to make some nice pizzas. It was raining so we stayed indoors playing and reading.
Saturday we had a slow start before Ickle Pickle and myself went “playground hopping”. The rain got us quite good, but we ended up getting some food and ice cream at a nearby cafe and Pickles met someone to play with. Her dad stayed home to do some much needed things around the house.
We had a nice dinner and a little movie night and I got to catch up with a friend on the phone.
Today we got up a bit late, had breakfast tried to get some more things done around the house, but someone was a bit grumpy. So we se off for the town next to ours to go to a playground and visit a really nice Balkan bakery.
We had some rolls with meat and feta cheese baked inside cheese cake, a kinder bueno croissant and a doughnut kind of bun with custard for sharing. It was really tasty. Then it was nap time and home.
After dinner, we went down to say hello to the ducks, so that daddy could finally finish the vacuming.

The thoughts and life of me 
It’s been a relaxing weekend for me as I heal.
So in between watching movies over the weekend, the only other I did was yesterday, remove my surgical tape, with being allowed to do that.
And it was nice to be able to wash my hair today. I could have done it yesterday. But I left it today to give back of my ear to show it was going to settle down from the tape.
The bakery looks nice and around where you have been from the above photos.
That sounds good Liz, glad to hear you are healing. Being able to wash hair after a period of surgergy or other medical factors feels like such a luxury!
Yes. It can be. My haur felt ready for washing by day 5. But it was yesterday when my hair started to make me feel yuky. I was glad about washing it today.

It was!
If it has a bakery, park and ice cream in the weekend, I’d be all in. I had friends over for snacks and coffee, the my kids came for dinner. Always a lot to do 7 days a week. Everyday is Saturday at my age. Oh, I forgot we went out for breakfast Saturday morning then coffee with old neighbors. I write everything down because I’d forget that I had so much fun. 🙂
Sounds like a really good weekend Marlene. The bakery was my highlight for sure. But we have to spend some time outdoors and move around to use some of the energy we eat 😉
