Today we got the opurtunity to go to a petting farm and activity centre with my other half’s job. The place is called Ørnhaug and it is about half an hour from where we live. I had heard of the place, but never vsited before.

The weather was not the greatest but the place was really fun. They had mini horses, a donkey, emu’s, hens, parrots and other birds. The parrots were really loud, but got to go out of their big cage and fly about at times.

They had a pond for koi fish and ducks, there were turkeys, peacoks (that liked to spend some of their time on the roof) and other big birds walking around among us.

There was a little house for bunnies that the kids got to pet at certain times. They had some guinnea pigs. They had a reptile house where they got the snake out two times a day and you could hold it if you wanted and a tarantula that stayed in the cage and some other creatures that I did not get the chance to look at.

There were a room where hey had hot dogs, coffe, soda and baked goods and it was all included in the ticket. It always is a part of the entrance fee so you don’t but anything once you are in, all the activities are also included. They had many places that you could bbq your own food if you wanted something else. There was also a freezer full of ice cream that was very popular with the kids.

They had little diggers, small tractors you could ride, you could dig for gold, go on slides, jup on trampolines, go on a zip line, play mini golf and many other fun activities.

It ws also nice to meet some of the people my other half works with and their families. We will most certainly go back there a few times next year!
What have you been up to thise weekend?

Looks fun there. And for food to be included in an entry fee for a place like that, is not something I have come across before.
The sun was out here today and it was warmer than expected. So, I went back out for a walk, around a local park and called into a cafe while on there.
Sounds like a great walk, sunshine, park and cafe would be a great combo!
All included in entrance fee is unusual here too, but I do like the concept
It’s wonderful that the food is included in the price, Maja, businesses should do this everywhere. I’m there for the food! 🤤😬 Have a great new week!
Thank you John, I agree!
You’re welcome, have a great week, Maja!
Thank you, and a great week to you too!
It’s a beautiful place.
Thank you I thought so too!
I’m pleased you and your family had a good day out at the petting farm. I used to have rabbits as a child and goldfish and tropical fish. I went out with friends on Friday evening for drinks. Enjoyed a lazy Saturday, and on Sunday spent a few hours updating my TikTok with new poems, which I always enjoy doing. Kevin
Thank you for your comment Kevin. Sounds like you had quite the menagerie as a child and sounds like you had a good weekend.
This is a lovely place, Masgautsen. Place like this is truly enjoyable for me. I adore animals.

My pleasure, Masgautsen. Enjoy your week with your family!

Gratitude as well, masgautsen
Dear Masgautsen
Look, it started raining again as soon as I started reading your magnetic post.

We visited a gallery and saw an exhibition of modern art, and afterwards, we enjoyed the city life. We loved it.

Good article! Sounds like they hit the jackpot!
Thank you, I think they did!
This looks like a lovely place to visit. We have a good few petting farms in Sligo too, and the girls always love being up close and personal with various farm animals, although on the last trip, a sheep started chewing on my two-year-old’s dress, and now, she doesn’t want to go anywhere near them. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
Apart from the sheep incident, that sounds great. We’ll be spending some time on our friends farm in Headford Galway, as usual when we go over in November.
Sounds like a great time.
Thank you, it was
