Easter in Ireland part 2: Tuam and Oranmore

Our base for my stay in Ireland was a nice house in Tuam where the back yard neighbours where sheep and their little lambs. We had a lot of good weather and I got to spend some time in the sunshine or in the sun room to read and relax only disturbed by the little lambs falling down from their field in to a pound and needed to be rescued.

I also took a stroll down to the centre of town to have a look at the shops and to enjoy a good lunch and some great coffee at the Galway roast cafe. Being in a small Irish town is really nice. People will smile and greet you as if they knew you and they make you feel like you belong there.

We went up to a suburb of Galway called Oranmore to visit some friends that live there. It’s a very typical suburb and where they live you have even have a system where you have to register the plates of your visitors so that they won’t get fined or towed away.

We ate good food, had good drinks and talked, laughed and enjoyed each others company.

  1. I’m a little late but it looks like you had a nice peaceful Easter. This month has flown by again. I’m glad you had a peaceful trip. Lambs can be noisy when they get themselves into trouble. Have a wonderful weekend.
