Rainy Summer

I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to spend quite some time at our summer-house this summer. The weather hasn’t been the best, but I have enjoyed myself a lot.

There is no rule saying you can’t go out in the rain and wind, but it’s nice to stay indoors and regain some heat before you go out again for a little walk or a trip out to pick some berries.

Sitting indoors with a cup of coffee enjoying a good book you’ve been meaning to read for some time looking out the window out on the rain can be very cosy!

There is also the opportunity to do this under the terrace roof, if the temperature is comfortable enough or you turn on the heating ovens.

And come night time there has been some lovely sunsets. They come quite late in summertime because the sun, that hides away for the most part this year, really doesn’t like to go to bed in the summer months. I don’t live up north in Norway where it never goes to bed, but it stays up late.

    1. I enjoy some rainy days too, but this Juli has been the coldest one in 11 years combined with wind and rain. So I wouldn’t say no to a few warm sunny days. And warm here is if we get over 20 degrees celsius, something that has been very rare this year.

  1. Here in southeast Ohio, it has been 82F day and 59F night. It should remain that way for the remainder of the week. Most beautiful weather at our cottage in the park. Look to a previous posting about my summer vacations for more information. Thanks.
