When I was in Ireland this time, I did not do very many touristy things. But one of the things I really wanted to go to was the Sunday Marked in Peoples park in Dun Laoghaire. If you are ever in Dublin and want a nice break from the city I can recommend Dun Laoghaire and especially on a Sunday when there is a marked in the people’s park.

There is many things to taste and this time around I was very lucky with the weather. Last time I was there I was just after a big breakfast, so this time I went on an empty tummy, but as I had a lunch with many family members after I had to choose my treats very carefully.

There was many people out, but as the park is large it did not feel too crowded. So I was able to walk around a few times to have a proper look at all the stalls I wanted a look at. The People’s Park has been open to the public since 1890 and it has great examples of Victorian architecture with the Gate Lodge and the Tea Rooms, a bandstand featuring the original gaslight standards and a playground.

Even if it was a sunny day the temperature was not very high and a warming apple and whiskey drink was lovely to drink while walking around. One was enough to keep warm for the whole time I stayed, I suspect that might have something to do with the whiskey.
