I had a good time in Oslo last week. And after I had a lovely meal in a nice sushi resturant I went for a good long walk up to a park called Frognerparken that has a nice sculpture park in it with a lot of sculptures made by Gustav Vigeland. It was quite dark when I was there so I didn’t see as much as I would in daylight. But the walk did what I hoped and cleared my head after a long day in the office. And it was lovely walking in the park that I had not visited since childhood. Even if it was dark this time.

I got home late Thursday evening and did not do much after I got home. This weekend it was time to catch up on some of the chores around the house that had been a bit neglected lately, with not being well and then being busy. So after a chilled Friday evening watching TV, I spent most of the day Saturday in the house tidying, cleaning and grocery shopping. It is amazing what you get done when you are two people working. In the evening we had our “Christmas” party with work. It was a lot of fun and a great surprise for us the entertainment was buy a band started by some of the men in the office. Even if I was careful with the alcohol I was not home till late.

I had made sure that I had no major plans for Sunday morning. I got a good sleep in and chilled before I went for a visit to my mother. She kindly gave me a lift to the airport and then it was time for me to go back to Oslo. I am staying here till Tuesday and I have high hopes that I will learn a lot in this hand over. As it is the last one we will get before taking over the task from the Oslo office. The plan for the rest of the evening is to watch Norway’s boys play handball on tv and relax in my room so that I am ready for an early start tomorrow. Hope the weekend treated you well and that you got to do something nice.

Glad you enjoyed being in Oslo again. It’s a lovely city. I visited it about thirty years ago, and Bergen too, which I also liked a lot.
It is a nice city. I also like Bergen, I went to university there and lived there for 5 years
I love your pics!! I’ve never been to Oslo, but your post makes it seem like a lot of fun!
It is a lovely city.
I would love to go to Oslo…Norwegian air flies from Los Angeles to Paris and one of the flights stops in Oslo first…maybe one day I’ll jump off for a few days of exploration!
It’s a nice place to go. If you get the chance maybe you should.
Lovely photos. Have a great time
Thank you!
It looks lovely. Perhaps perhaps some day I’ll be able that region of Norway from which my grandfather Ivar Sivertsen immigrated.
Interesting. Where was he from?
My grandfather’s family lived in Kristiansund before he immigrated to America.
That is the same side if the country that I am from, only a bit further north. I have never been to Kristiansund, but I have visited the surrounding area and it is a lovely place.
It is important for me to remember my ancestry. Most of us one from somewhere else.
The sushi looks delicious! I have also been to that park several times, but it has been nearly seven years. I am due to go again.
That is nice, when are you going? I like walking in parks, this one is better with more light. The sushi was delicious!
You had me at the selfie spot!
Haha it was in my hotel
