Today came with a lovely sunshine. So after a late lazy breakfast. I got in the car and headed for the beach.

The first beach we got to looked like it had enough cars, for the social distancing so we went to one that had plenty of space at the car park. None of them where crowded, but one should spread out as much as possible.

The beach we went to is just next to the airport and usually there would be quite a few planes flying over our heads. This time the only one we saw today was an old plane that “lives” in the plane museum close by.

We walked to an end of the beach there there is an old farm that has been made in to a lovely venue that is used for weddings and such. Now all such things are canceled.

Having put in many measures they manage to have a small selection of food to serve, both for take away and some tables very far apart in the large building. We had lovely toasties and a homemade ice cream to finish. It was well worth going out here just for the lunch. I hope providing this can help them survive this crisis.

We walked back to the car and enjoyed the sun, even if it was not too warm and quite windy. Back home I found that my garden where the sun was shining and it is sheltered from the wind, was very lovely and warm. So I sat down to enjoy a wonderful cold beer and some good blog posts.

Hope you are all doing well and that you are making the most of your weekend
that you enjoyed your beach walk, Maja. I’ve just returned from a walk round my local woods, which are only a very short walk from my home. I was interested to read that the eatery had a few tables, spaced far apart. Here in the UK restaurants can only do takeaway deliveries and there is no contact between the person delivering the food and the customer. My favourite Indian restaurant is still open and doing good takeaway business, for which I am extremely grateful. In Norway how do they ensure that the waiting staff (such as those working in the eatery you visited), don’t come into contact with the customers? Do they wear masks? Stay safe and well, All the best, Kevin
Apologies, the first part of my sentence was cut off for some strange reason. I meant to say that I’m glad you enjoyed your walk. Best, Kevin
Thank you. Hope you are doing well.
Hey Kevin, they don’t wear masks, but they put the food on the counter and then you pick it up and bring it to the table yourself. We take our measures, but are not in complete lockdown, like you are. We closed things early and have had low contamination rate since. So things are gradually opening up here. And our hospitals are starting up more normal procedures and such.
I’m glad to hear that things have gone relatively well in Norway Maja, and that things are gradually opening up.
All the best, Kevin
Hope all will be OK in the end
Loved your walk and glad you have your warm area.
It’s interesting to know how your country is handling everything. Are you starting to open up the country yet?
Thank you. We are slowly opening up. We don’t have too many ppl in hospital at the moment.
What an incredible beach complete with homemade ice-cream! Just what I needed to see during grey, lockdown London! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed. Hope it will be safe to lift lockdown in London soon. I was supposed to be on a girls trip to London next friday, but we will plan a new trip when this is over!
Sorry to hear that, but I am sure the energy in London will be even more vibrant when you do eventually make it here!
I hope so too!
Lovely place yet again Madam. Appreciate your help to the local community around you to help them wade over the crisis successfully.
Stay safe Madam.. 🙂
Thank you! Stay safe
Surely Madam.. Thank you.. 🙂
You are already living the “new normal”; when we can all go back out, it will be with the proper social distancing, and that will help to flatten the curve for any flareups that are expected next winter. If we live this way now, it will be easier to cope with any further disruptions…thanks for sending the photos!
Yes, that is all we can do!
We haven’t been to the beach, because they are all closed with the pandemic
Looks wonderful.
Thank you, it was wonderful. Here they are not closed, but as we had 10 degrees celsius today the beaches are more for walking than sitting on. We also have a lot of beaches and not too many people.
I have never sat on a beach. I just walk for miles in the water’s edge.
I have spent a lot of time on the beach in my life. Playing in the water, fishing, walking, running and sitting to eat or read. I love the beach 😊
What a treat to be able to walk on the beach. Glad your weather is good. Ours has finally improved here, but no beach. Stay well. Allan
Thank you. It is a treat. Hope you are well and that you have enjoyed the cake you made!

I wish I lived in Scandinavia, I find it really difficult being indoors for such a long time. It’s good to see you are doing well. Take good care of yourself! 😉

My most recent review is of Pacifica’s hair and body mist, which would go really well with a light summer beach day!
