26th of April 1986 the Chernobyl accident happened and at the same time I was born. As a friend of mine said once, an accident never come alone.
My other half and brother sent me flowers yesterday and I was treated to some wonderful take away sushi from my other half and we spent the evening drinking prosecco and watching Peaky Blinders.
Today I am going to enjoy my day. Hope you all are well.

What a perfect day! My wife’s birthday is also April 26th, and I was supposed to fly her to Chicago for a day for a special Tokyo-influenced menu at a great restaurant there…instead I am making her a broiled Japanese Eel bowl – the first thing she ate when I took her to Tokyo four years ago!
