Since I last posted, summer has come, not only weather wise. The beginning of summer always comes with end of term activities. This season it has been a bit different but still good. We had a concert with band, without people in the room, but with people streaming us on YouTube. This was very nice, it was a bit sad walking out of the nice place we rehearse for the summer, but I am very ready and motivated to come back in August.
Daytime Saturday we had a good day doing some necessary shopping for doing some small DIY projects both at home and at the summer house where we will be spending some time next week when I have a week off. But as it was the weekend I made sure there was time to visit one of the local cafes to get a small treat along the way. Shopping is hard work after all.
This Saturday evening some members of the band was nice enough to host a small party for us at the end of season, with pizza beer and good company. We had a very good time and it was a nice way to end the season. It was quite late by the time I got home, so Sunday was not a very productive day for me. But I managed a very nice walk, had some good food brought home and watched a silly movie in the evening called Bumblebee.
This week will be full of small and larger projects in the garden. for instance getting a new fence and trimming some hedges. I am sure it will be worth all the work we put in in the end.

Your rehearsal location could almost be in England! Similar to many in Derbyshire and the North West. Hopefully the banding scene around the world will be back to normal as soon as possible.

Love that building, and that you were able to stream for an audience so the music continues! I was supposed to be in Paris last month, flying Norwegian Air. I have a credit I must use, and while I love Paris, they also fly non-stop from Los Angeles to Oslo, so I may decide to really explore that area instead when things return to normal and the weather permits….
Oslo is quite nice, not as many strikes as in Paris. It is a very lovely old building and a good place for us to rehearse. Hope you are well.
