Thursday was Ascension day and that is a day off work here in Norway, I decided to do what may others often do and use one of my vacation days for the Friday after. With Monday being the 17th of May, Norway’s Constitution day it is a good long weekend. And as I had a few days left from last year I decided to take next week off as well. This means that I have a proper vacation, and I feel it is needed.
I started my vacation by having a lazy morning with a long slow breakfast before going for a walk. Then I unpacked a box and a few bags, to make sure I at least made some progress today. And then I sat down to enjoy a podcast and some of your lovely blog post. I have a list of little jobs around the house I want to get to when I have some time off, but I am not going to stress getting to them. Just do a little bit at the time.
I spent some time booking hotels for my summer holiday, enjoyed the sunshine, received a prize for a quiz win and gave my other half a hair cut. Then I went for another little walk before enjoying some football and then heading for bed with a big smile on my face. Feeling that my vacation got off to a very good start.
This morning I woke up when my alarm would normally go off. But today I could just smile and roll over. So I stayed in bed to read the papers before getting up to have breakfast and enjoying my coffee while reading some blog posts. The weather outside is not great today, but I do have some errands to run so I would not have time to sit outside to enjoy it all anyway.

Your relaxed day sounded very busy, especially when you are giving out haircuts! Glad you are able to relax after your big move…enjoy!
Does not take long with the machine, so that was not much of my day!

Perfect vacation scenario. I get to relax like that more in the winter months. Summer and sprig keep me hopping most of the time. I’m glad you are getting away for awhile as well. Enjoy.
