Starting the weekend

The first work week of the year is over. Even if I did not have too many days off over Christmas it felt a little like sort of a new start. The week has not been very good or bad, work wise. But it really feels like extra good to get a weekend now. And in some way more deserved now at the start of a new year, than it usually is. Maybe because not all of the members of my project was back. And today I was the only one of us that was in the office, it was a long day.

I don’t have too many plans for the weekend, and that is very good. Today I am going to pick up some groceries, make pizza, enjoy some wine and watch a movie. The rest of the weekend is still uncharted territory and I am looking forward to seeing what it will bring. If I feel like doing many things and feel energetic, I will do so. But more likely I will not do very much. And just enjoy a lazy couple of days. Either way I am sure that it will be a good, first proper weekend of the year (Yes, I know that there has been another weekend this year, but this is the first one that has followed a full week of work).

What do you have planned for the weekend? Whatever you choose to get up to I hope you have a good time.

  1. Doesn’t it seem like the first week of 2022 raced by? We are having new garage storage shelves put in, so it’s a weekend of organizing! Enjoy your time off!

  2. Starting the weekend.
