So, I am now back from my trip to visit friends and family in Ireland before Christmas, and we had a lovely time. Our first flight was a bit delayed due to fog, so we had to do a little run to make sure we got on the connecting one in Oslo. But it worked out just fine and we made the gate as people were boarding. We did not get to pick up the gifts we had planned in duty free, but making the flight was more important. And most of the gifts we were bringing was bought earlier and was in our bags.
The first day we were going to meet up with family, but they were unavailable due to unforeseen events. Ickle Pickle and I had a little cough, so we did not go to see the older family members that day, just to be on the safe side. But my other half got a little visit in. After a meal it had gotten to be bedtime for the young one and we had an early night.

The day after we crossed the country and drove west. We me up with some friends, did some light shopping and spent the night at some good friends’ house. Company was good, food was good and all in all nothing to complain about. I did not take too many photos that I can post here, as the time was mostly spent with friends.
Saturday, we had a lovely breakfast and then drove a short while to a friend of ours that has a farm close to where we were staying the night before. We met up with some other friends there and Ickle Pickle was delighted to have two nights in a row with some older children that loved playing with her.
Hope you all have had a good time while I was away. I feel like time has moved so fast while I was gone that it is almost Christmas already! How did that happen?

I thought I had subscribed earlier, but as I have been away for quite some time I am unsure if I followed or just read your blog.
Thanks, Mas. And welcome back!

Your trip to Ireland sounds like a delightful blend of family, friends, and cherished moments, even with a few unexpected hiccups. The dash to make your connecting flight must have been stressful, but it’s great that everything worked out and you arrived with gifts in tow.
Spending time with loved ones, even when plans had to shift, seems to have been the heart of your trip. It’s touching that you were cautious about visiting older family members while under the weather, showing such thoughtful care. And how lovely that Ickle Pickle had the chance to play with other children—it sounds like those moments were highlights for her!
Crossing the country, enjoying good company, and taking in the charm of a farm visit make for a truly memorable experience. It’s no wonder time flew by so quickly. With Christmas just around the corner, it seems your trip was the perfect prelude to the holiday season. Welcome back!
