One of my favorit lunch spots in  Dún Laoghaire, just outside Dublin, where we usually stay when we are that side of Ireland, is just next to the hotel we stayed at. But back to the nice lunch spot. We went in on a few occations this time over and Ickle Pickle was so happy with their pancakes, that she pointed it out when asked where she wanted to go for lunch. It is called The Vanilla Pod Eatery and this is what they say about themselves on their web page:

“Our aim is to provide gourmet food at great prices in a relaxed, fun, family friendly atmosphere! You can enjoy wholesome cuisine made from ingredients carefully sourced from small, artisan, Irish suppliers. We are committed to fantastic food, coffee, wine and dessert treats. Our cakes and pastries are freshly made every day. We want our customers, at every visit, to have a great experience and these are the values that drive our ownership team to work in our restaurants every day.“

They have four locations, all of them around Dublin in Carrickmines, Blackrock, Leopardstown and Dún Laoghaire. The last one is the only one I have been to, but I have always enjoyed. Lovely food, good coffee and a very nice staff.
