Month of May

May has come upon us (where does the time go?), and as you could read in my last post it got of to a bad start for me before it picked up again. The weather has now decided to get a bit warmer, but the rain is back and the wind is blowing quite a lot. All in all I’m not to happy about things this month. I’ve started my new schedule at work. I now only work three days a week and it’s really not what I want at all.

The low oil prices has ment a lot of redundancies in my area and the effects has now hit the place I work making sure that there is not enough work for me to do. This is not good news for my personal economy and I’m applying to everything I can find to make sure that I get to keep my appartement and such. The only problem seems to be that I’m not the only one out there hoping to get a job. There are so many people applying for each position that is offered that I recon that I’m lucky if anyone ever come to see my application in the large piles of papers that are coming in. But who knows I might get lucky sometime.

On a happier note it looks like I get to go for a short trip to our summer-house next week. The forecast is not good, but it will be good to get out and the summer-house always seems to relax me and put me in a better frame of mind.

Sorry to read about your work problem, I had no idea things were so tough in Norway. Good luck with your applications and keep positive. Have a relaxing time in your summer house. If it helps it’s been crazy windy here in UK for the past few days too. The up side is that the clothes on the washing line dry very quickly! 🙂

Thank you Annika. I’ll try to keep as possible as I can. The job situation isn’t very bad compared to a lot of other places, but it’s gotten a lot worse than it was quite fast. And is still on it’s way down.
Hehe, if it hadn’t been rainy here I might have tried to use the wind as a dryer! 🙂

  3. The job situation tends to make for grim conversations, no matter where you are. I know that kind of stress isn’t helping you get over that flu bug. Sending you good thoughts. And huge wishes that we both get dream jobs! 😀

  4. I can’t send enough good wishes your way. I so hope you find something suitable.. Enjoy your time away and that will put everything in fresh perspective.
