I’m now back from a lovely little trip over to Ireland to see friends and family and to do some shopping before I start my new job. The weather was very good and everything was quite enjoyable. I find Ireland to be a beautiful country no matter the season, but there is something special about autumn. Walking down the street in a small town, when the sun is warming your face, but the air is clear and crisp and the smell of the burning turf really sets the mood.

This time around I didn’t have much time, but I had to make sure that my itinerary was not to busy as I didn’t want to be wrecked for starting my new job on Monday. But I do feel that I got quite a lot squeezed in in the few days I spent there. And as I said, it was a very lovely trip filled with all the things I wanted to do when I was over.
The journey went smoothly both ways and my bag and I arrived on time and at the same time. In fact on my way home I landed 20 minutes before scheduled time! Today I have to unpack and do a few things necessary to prepare for the big day tomorrow. I hope I find you all well!
Welcome home and great you had a good time in Ireland. I was often there on business and love the place and its people. Good luck for tomorrow!!😄 enjoy the ‘long’ commute!
Thank you very much. I’m looking forward to start, but at the same time I am a bit nervous. I love the country and the people of Ireland too!
You make it sound very appealing. Good luck with your new job.
I find it very appealing, so I’m glad I manage to communicate that. Thank you very much, I will carry with me all the luck I get!
Glad you had a lovely time in Ireland Maja. One of my closest friends is Irish. Or his parents were both Irish but he was born in England. I have never visited Ireland but would love to do so. Hope your first day in the new job goes well. Its sunny but a little cold here in London. Kevin
The Irish are very easy going people and I find they often make for great friends. It is a country well worth a visit! I hope the first day will go well and I do believe it might.
It’s a lovely segue into your new job, Maja. Wishing you the very best. Shine on!
Thank you very much!
We too have been on a trip enjoying autumn! Such a lovely time of year (not so much in Southern California though) . Ireland! A place that brings up such magic and beauty to the imagination! Hope the new job is all that you hope for!
I find the winter tends to seem shorter if I get a autumn trip! I hope yours were as good as mine. They are truly wonderful. I really enjoy Ireland it’s every bit as wonderful as the imagination makes it out to be, at least to me. I have high hopes for my job and I think it will be good for me.
Here is a song about going to Ireland by a favorite group of mine.
Thank you very much! I will enjoy it when I’m home ☺
