Just outside my new office, two whole minutes from my home, is a playground that I find quite cool. Most of it is made from wood and there are a lot of interesting animals. Now there is some new street art up on the building just next to is. The art is very colourful little monsters and the kids seem to really like them!
The park is named after a writer from Stavanger who used to live close by. His name was Andreas Jacobsen (1909-1995), but he went by the pen name Ajax. He wrote books in Stavanger dialect about the kids on the street. Some of his stories are very popular around christmastime.

Looks fun. My kids have almost outgrown playgrounds but I bet they’d enjoy that one.
I should have outgrown playgrounds, but I still like this one 🙂
I hear ya. Makes me sad that mine are almost past that stage. They still like em but not like when they were little. 😕
I love playgrounds that stir the imagination 🙂
I like them too and this is a very good one!
I love that the town has honored a writer from their town. The playground is wonderful. Colorful and creative. How lucky your job is so close to home as is the playground. Playgrounds keep you young at heart.
Yes they do! I hope I will always stay young at heart.
That is a sweet playground. I would play there.
Me too!
Ok I think every park needs a hammock
It’s very nice. Great for relaxing in when the kids run around!
Ha, ha! You never outgrow playgrounds!
Hopefully not!
You bet…hopefully not.
How sweet! And only 2 minutes from home!
Yes, that is very handy!
Love it! That’s definitely a playground you like to hang out at with or without kids… but then without kids would be a bit weird…
I’ve been known to relax in the hammock without kids. Eveningtime when the kids have gone home 😊
Hahaha
Good on you!
But then who wants to stop being a child? I love playgrounds!
Me too!
Hmm..wonderful.
I think it is too!
It’s lovely. Something happy to look at. Hugs!
I agree with you! Hugs
What a lovely view while you work! 😀
Thank you. I fully agree.
