Paddy’s day celeberation

Ready for some food in front of the TV

Yesterday was St.Patrick’s day and that is also my other half and my anniversary. But in these weird times we could not celebrate the way we normally do, by going to a restaurant and then grab a pint or two in the local Irish pub. In these times when everything is closed and it is not advised to go out anywhere where there could potentially be a small crowd, we had to think alternatively. We ordered a lovely curry from one of the take away places that are still open. They come deliver the food and leave it on the doorstep so that you don’t have to be in direct contact with any more people that you have to. We did not have any Guinness at home, but we did have quite a lot of IPA that we decided to make an exception and enjoy one of those each. We enjoyed the food while watching a few episodes of 8 out of 10 Cats does countdown.

Hope you are all still safe and doing as well as you can in the times we are in. As we say in Norway these days: “Keep your head cold and your heart warm”.

  1. Aww it’s certainly a strange time lately but it’s great you were able to take a takeaway and enjoy your IPA stash to celebrate. And also… Happy Anniversary to you both! 🎉🎉🎉 ♥
    Caz xx

  2. Love that Norwegian advice! Stay healthy and continue to support your local business! That’s what we are doing in Los Angeles – ordering food to pick up or be delivered to keep everyone working as much as prudent!

      1. Exactly. We have ordered Dungeness Crab from the legendary Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle, showed up today…ordering pickup food as well to keep restaurants open!

      2. Indeed! There are national delivery services now so I can actually order legendary Philly Cheese Steaks from Philadelphia, and they arrive to my house the next day!

    1. Thank you. My other half is Irish so the Norwegian celebrations are low key to him anyway, but yesterday was very quiet. But I got to spend it with him. And family in Ireland sent photos of their decorations!
