We started our weeks holiday by going to the summer-house. The first days we were there with my mother, but as she was working she had to go home on the Sunday. The weather was really lovely and we took advantage and went for a few swims in the ocean and ready some books in the sun.
Monday we got a visit from one of my cousins with family. We had a great time and ate good food, went swimming and was able to sit outside until going to bed. Both the kid and the adults had a great time. They left to go home on Tuesday and my other half and me drove in to the nearest town for a little outing.
Wednesday was a really warm sunny summer day. We had to spend a big part of it in the north sea to be able to breathe. It was really magical and just like the perfect days of summer that I remember from my childhood. I was really happy that I ran for the ice cream wan when it drove past on the Sunday afternoon because ice cream and cold drinks was the best treats for the day.
As I wrote in my previous post, we drove home on Thursday to wash some cloths and for me to get my vaccine.
Now we are back from our trips and are getting ready to start working again tomorrow, Monday. The washing machine is working as hard as it can, to make sure the pile of laundry get a little smaller. And I will start to make my way through some of the lovely blog post that are waiting for me in my inbox. Hope you have all had a good week. What have you been up to this weekend?

What a fun getaway! Wild strawberries and friendly deer make for a relaxed trip to nature! We went to The Hollywood Bowl and saw Christina Aguilera…nice to be back in public again, although an indoor-mask policy has returned to Los Angeles due to a spike in covid cases – all among the unvaccinated – and since getting the shot is now the easiest thing to do – and FREE – it’s shameful that a few bad people have caused us to slip backwards…

Looks like a good break from work. I remember those days, a few days to calm down, a few days to relax and a few days to rev back up ready for work. Hope work goes OK for you. Glad you got the vaccination, as well. Allan
