Weekend in Bergen

At one of the ferries

This weekend I have been for a trip to Bergen. I got in the car just after rush hour and had a pleasant drive up. The drive is about 4,5 hours and includes two ferries. When I got up I checked in to the hotel. Went for a little walk in the sunshine to stretch my legs and enjoy the nice day. I then picked up some sushi and had an early night.

Measuring the rain

Friday I woke up early and enjoyed a nice hotel breakfast with some of the members of my band. After a morning walk we had rehersals and then we went over to the concert hall to listen to some of the other bands and chat to some of the people I know. This is always a nice tjing about going to these things. There are so many people you know from a lot of different times in your life. We enjoyed some food, had a little rest, listened to some more bands before it was our time to be on stage. The playing went well. Afterwards we all went to a pub to celeberate and enjoy ourselves.

Lille Lungårdsvann

Saturday I had another nice breakfast, before checking out of the hotel. I visited some friends on my way home that I don’t get to see often enough, but it is always so lovely when you do get the chance. And I got home just in time for Ickle Pickles bed time so I got to say good night.

Torgallmenningen

Today is mother’s day here in Norway, so I got a lovely card and some chocolates this morning. We spent the day out walking in the sunshine, hitting up a couple of playgrounds and getting some nice waffles for lunch. Later on we’re going up to my mother with my brother and his family. We are picking up a nice thai food take away and having a relaxing evening.

How has your weekend been treating you?

  1. I’m glad that you had a good trip, Maja! Interesting photos, thanks for sharing. I’ve been around the house all weekend cleaning up the yard from the latest windstorm and enjoying the sunshine. 🌞😎

  2. What a wonderful time! Love that you are able to find time to keep making music, and it’s always nice to catch up with friends, colleagues and fellow musicians…a nice day today as well…for me, it’s Super Bowl Sunday so the maple bourbon ribs are in the oven and the turkey chili is ready to prep…lots of food and fun tonight here in the US!
