Looked out the window when I came home and found out that there were a couple of guys making a new piece of street art on an ugly building just outside! I’m very pleased to have this outside my window instead of the eyesore that was there before!

There are quite a few cool pieces of street art in Stavanger and we’re getting new ones all the time. Many of them are being made for the yearly Nuart festival that is held here. Where you among other things can take a guided tour of the street art of Stavanger.

A good reason to go to Stavanger the next time I am over there. I also want to hike up to Preikestolen, also, but I need to get in a little better shape first.
It’s quite good. Preikestolen isn’t so hard so you don’t have to get into a very good shape.
I love street art. Both of those are amazing!
I think so too! We’ve gotten many great new ones the last few years.
How fun! Back when I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico (they weren’t street art but..) there were several downtown buildings that were painted with brightly colored murals. I thought they were wonderful. Hugs!
I really enjoy them, they are really good pieces of art and looks so much better on the buildings than if they were full of random graffiti!
Cool!
Yes, I think so too!
Reblogged this on Chris The Story Reading Ape's Blog and commented:
Look what Maja found today 😃👍😃
Thank you so much for the reblog! I must say the art has really improved the view from my window!
I’ll bet it has – Thank You for telling AND showing us all about it Maja 👍😃
My please 😊
Great Maja – Thank You for sharing it with us 👍😃
interesting.
indeed!
Maja, really nice view from your window. I love street art. My granddaughter took some photos from the DUMBO area in NYC. Awesome street art there! Chryssa (aka Christine)
Thank you! I’m leased by the improvement in the view 🙂
Oh, won’t somebody help that poor child?
Hehe, personally I think the child is enjoying himself.
Now that I look more closely, I think you might be right. 😀
I always like think so. It makes the art much nicer 🙂
Very cool. I wish people over here would adapt some of that style.
I really enjoy it! Nice to have some cool art on a few buildings that would otherwise have been just white or grey.
I love graffiti art! Cool pics, thanks for sharing!
I think it’s very cool and I’m glad we have quite a lot of it here in my town.
Look at that! How cool is it?
I know! I’m very pleased ☺
Those are very nice murals, especially the one with the chairs. It is really life-like. The murals are a sight for sore eyes.
The one with the chairs are very good and it has real chairs attached to the wall. I luke them very much
No wonder it looks real. What ingenuity!
☺
Art truly is in the eyes of the beholder! My mother used to say isn’t it wonderful that we don’t all like the same thing? Art gives us an opportunity to view a variety of media and techniques. in different ways.
We all have our own view on what is beautiful! Isn’t it great?
That is very true indeed!
I love seeing what the artist come up with. The are so ingenious. It’s certainly better than all the graffiti we see on buildings.
I couldn’t agree more. And buildings like this that is to be knocked down sometime in the future often fall into disrepear and end up with a lot of grafitti
I’m still trying to figure out the mind that hides in the dark to make a building uglier than it needs to be. Hide in the dark and make it beautiful . That’s ok. 🙂
True words. And even better when they are commitioned to make it beautiful!
Looks really good. I love street art but it’s often frowned upon in England
Here in my town it’s becoming more and more common as we have a yearly Nuart festival that draws a lot of attention to it!
We need that in my town
I think it’s a great concept. And it makes art easily accessible for all. And the fact that they get food artist in makes the quality good.
