Today I went for a little walk around in the snow. Quite carefull so I wouldn’t repeat my spectacular fall on friday.
The sun was shining taking the edge of the biting cold.
The ice was not secure here in centre of Stavanger, but just outside the town centre there is ice for the kids to skate on.
Brrr – rather you than me Mas β€ x
Hehe as long as it’s sunny and properly cold it’s fineβΊ
At my age, slipping on ice is dangerous. I’ll leave it up to the young like you π
Most many people use spikes on their shoes to not slip. I should have thought of that on my way home from the pub friday.
Ouch!
I’ve slipped and fallen coming home from a pub before too. And wasn’t even winter! π
Haha. I’ve never done it when there was no ice! *touch wood*
Way back when, young and dumb. It’s a wonder I’ve made it to be 47 quite honestly. Be careful out there! That ice can be treacherous. π
Hehe, I know. Being Norwegian I should have know better.
I love that the birds had somewhere to paddle Maja ππ
People has been ringing the emergency phone because they thought the resting swans were dead. …
Nice to know people still cared about them though π
Would have been if the number of callers wasn’t so high they clogged up the line π
Looks pretty to my eye.
It is very pretty. Snow and sunshine usually makes nature look it’s best!
It looks wonderful! π Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it, thank you!
Lovely photos – looks as though you had a gorgeous day! We’ve just had our first snowfall here, though it’s almost gone already. I wish it would stay a while (I lived in Canada for many years and miss the snowy winters).
Thank you! It was lovely βΊ
Stunning!
Thank you very much!
Whereabouts is it?
Stavanger town centre.
It is beautiful xxx
Looks great, I wish we had some snow here.
It’s nice when it stays for a while, like it does now!
Beautiful pictures and town! I often wonder how birds can survive the cold winters. We get tons of Canada geese here by us, next to a small lake. Sometimes it freezes over, and they are walking on the ice!
Thank you! The birds are usually fine in the cold. They’re just a bit lazy to preserve energy.
You live in a beautiful place. Lovely pics!
Thank you very much!
Cold, but so pretty!
Thank you!
No way you’d want to walk on that ice! Have you tried skating on the ice for the skaters?
Not so far this year.
Ps. The ‘likes’ for your post won’t come up for me! So please know I ‘liked’ this post very much!!
Thank you! I appreciate it.
And for reference. I got a notification that you liked the post.
Thanks for that – they just weren’t loading here for me. Now I know if this happens again.
WP has it’s weird moments.
How beautiful!
Thank you!
I would have expected to see six feet of snow, but what do I know. I prefer to display my ignorance to an international audience!
This is the part of Norway with the least around of snow. live in the south west. We don’t get much snow π
Well I am smarter than I was five minutes ago. We don’t get much snow where i live in the lowlands–just rain.
We are known to get a lot of that too!
I like the first photo of the church. The angle is good, but it sure looks cold! We had snow last week but it disappeared after a couple of days.
Thank you! I think it’s beautiful too. Luckily most people here expect some cold so we know how to dress for it.
Beautiful church and lovely day. Nice to be outside even if it’s cold!
Thank you, it really was a lovely day! We were by far the coldest place in the country, we only had -6C . It’s perfectly livable.
Beautifully captured !! π
Josh
Thank you!
Looks so nice… And cold!
Thank you, it’s both!
Lovely photos that capture your world. Beauty can be treacherous!
Thank you very much!
